July 12th, 2014 | Press Release

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (July 2014) — Bailey Southwell & Co., LLC (BSC) announces the completion of the acquisition of Health Care Compliance Strategies, Inc. (HCCS), a privately held company that is focused on improving the quality of patient care by providing interactive and engaging online compliance training for healthcare organizations, by HealthStream, Inc. (NASDAQ: HSTM), a leading provider of workforce development and research/patient experience solutions for the healthcare industry. The transaction closed on March 3, 2014.

While HealthStream has long been the leading provider of OSHA and Joint Commission compliance training in U.S. hospitals, the addition of HCCS expands their compliance solution with a full continuum of services and programs that address the broad range of compliance priorities. Through this acquisition, HealthStream gains a comprehensive curriculum of premium courseware and an outstanding workforce development application for managing conflicts of interest disclosures, along with a team of professionals with extensive industry experience and thought leadership in healthcare compliance.

“The Bailey Southwell team is an integral part of our corporate development team. We are pleased to have completed four successful transactions together,” said Robert A. Frist, Jr., chief executive officer, HealthStream. “We value their expert, objective advice and their unwavering commitment to closing transactions.”
